Terms of use and community rules
Last updated 30 October 2026
HIDE & SNIPE ("the game") is run by Hide and Snipe ("we"). By playing you agree to these terms. The game asks you to accept the community rules below before you first chat in a clan or found one.
Who can play
The game is meant for players aged 13 and over. If you are younger than the age at which your country lets you agree to online services yourself, ask a parent or guardian first.
Community rules
These rules apply to everything players create in the game: player names, clan names, tags and descriptions, tournament names, clan chat messages and stickers, what you say in voice chat, and reports. It is not allowed to:
- harass, bully, threaten or insult anyone, or attack people for who they are (hate speech, discrimination);
- post sexual content, or anything that sexualises minors;
- glorify real violence, terrorism or self-harm, or encourage anyone to hurt themselves or others;
- share personal information, yours or anyone else's (a real name, address, phone number, school, social media accounts), or ask other players to meet;
- spam, advertise, scam, beg, or sell or trade accounts, items or gems outside the game;
- pretend to be a member of our team or another player;
- post anything illegal;
- cheat: use aimbots or other tools, modified versions of the game, bugs you found, several accounts, or agree on results with other players.
Reporting and blocking
- A chat message: press and hold it (right-click with a mouse) and choose Report; our moderators get a copy.
- A player from a match: during the match, the match menu › Report a player; after it, tap their name on the results screen and choose Report. Pick a reason: cheating, teaming up with the other side, being away, mean or rude chat, an offensive name, or something else.
- Blocking: choose Block in the match menu, on the results screen, on a player's profile card, or by pressing and holding a clanmate's message. From then on no chat passes between the two of you, either way: not in the clan chat, not in quick chat during a match, not in voice chat and not after a match. Neither of you can send the other friend requests, invites or challenges, and you cannot join a party the other is in. The other player is not told. You can unblock them in Settings › Help › Blocked players or under Friends. You can also turn the clan chat off in Settings or leave the clan.
- Voice chat: in your team's list, mute a teammate (only you stop hearing them; they are not told) or turn their volume down. To report them, choose Report a player and the reason Mean or rude voice chat. Nothing is recorded, so tell us in the note what was said. Blocking someone ends voice chat between you at once, both ways, and you can turn voice chat off in Settings › Voice chat.
- Anything else: Settings › Help › Report a bug, or support@hidesnipe.com.
What we do
Moderators read reports and look at what was reported. Depending on what happened we remove content, rename a player or clan, mute a player in the clan chat, suspend a player's voice chat for a while or for good, take back rewards that were won by cheating, or block the account for a while or for good. Clan leaders and elders can also delete messages and mute members of their own clan. Content that may be illegal can be passed on to the authorities.
Purchases and virtual items
- Gems, gold, items and passes are part of the game. They have no value in money, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be transferred to another account.
- In the Android app purchases go through Google Play and its terms; in the iOS app through Apple's App Store and its terms, with Apple as the seller (a refund of an App Store purchase is requested from Apple); in the browser through Stripe. Your legal rights as a consumer apply (in the EU you agree when buying that your gems are delivered at once, which ends the 14-day right of withdrawal for them).
- Random rewards (crates and Snipe Drops) show their odds in the game before you open or buy anything that leads to them.
Your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account › Delete account, or see how to delete your account. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, the new version is published on this page with a new date. Questions: email support@hidesnipe.com.
