Delete your HIDE & SNIPE account
HIDE & SNIPE is run by Hide and Snipe.
Delete it in the game
Open Settings › Account › Delete account and confirm. This works the same in the Android app, the iOS app and the browser, and the account is deleted at once.
Playing in this browser? This opens the game straight on the delete dialog for the account stored in this browser:
Open the game to delete my account
The Android app and the iOS app each keep their own account: to delete that one, use Settings in the app.
If you lost access
If you can no longer open your account (you uninstalled the app or cleared your browser's data), email support@hidesnipe.com with your player name and your player ID (shown in Settings › Account; if you no longer have it, tell us your player name and roughly when you last played). Accounts have no password. If you linked a Google account or an email address, sign in with it on any device ("I already have an account" in the game) and delete the account in Settings: that is the fastest way. Otherwise these are the only way to find yours. We delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.
What is deleted
- Your player name and player ID, and the sign-in of every device that used the account.
- The Google account ID and the email address you linked, and any sign-in code not yet used.
- The Apple user ID and the email address of the Sign in with Apple you linked, and we tell Apple to end Sign in with Apple for the game.
- Your progress and inventory: level, XP, trophies, gems, gold, weapons, cosmetics, crates, Snipe Pass progress, quests and login rewards.
- Your own match history entries, invite code and invite rewards, the creator code you support, and the usage events recorded for the account, with where you came from.
- The bug reports you sent, with the email address you gave in them.
- Wallet links and everything read from a linked wallet (browser version only).
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Gems, passes and items bought with the account are lost and are not refunded.
What is kept
- Payment records (date, product, amount, status and the Google Play order ID, App Store transaction ID or Stripe payment ID) are kept for up to 7 years because bookkeeping and tax law require it. They no longer contain your player name, only the random player ID.
- Other players' records of matches against you keep the random player ID (without a name). In finished tournaments your name is replaced with "Deleted player".
- Anti-abuse records that other players' limits are counted from (who invited you, ranked wins other players had against you, which account a wallet's season pass was used for) keep the random player ID, without a name, so deleting an account cannot be used to reset someone else's limits.
- Anything recorded on a public blockchain (only if you used the browser version's wallet features) cannot be deleted by anyone.
